Higuayagua has pledged to help support our Arawak family members, the Tariano/Tariana, Baniwa, and Tucuya peoples of the Vaupes river a tributary of the Amazon river.

The COVID- 19 viruses has wreaked havoc on these people. With little resources and unresponsive government agencies who have refused to help, this entire group of people is in mortal danger. History has shown how badly unfamiliar diseases destroyed Native nations across the Western Hemisphere.
